Mortal Shell 2 Achievements - Complete Trophy Guide
Mortal Shell 2 achievements guide with the full trophy list: 53 PlayStation trophies, 52 Xbox/Steam achievements, every unlock condition, and Platinum tips.
Mortal Shell 2 has 53 trophies on PlayStation and 52 achievements on Xbox and Steam. The only difference is the Platinum trophy, which is exclusive to PlayStation at launch.

Trophy Count by Platform
The achievement list is split into standard trophies tied to progression and hidden trophies mostly tied to boss defeats. PlayStation players have one extra trophy: the Platinum. Xbox players will reportedly receive a Platinum-equivalent achievement in the future, according to Asha Sharma, but no date has been confirmed.
A full playthrough of Mortal Shell 2 takes roughly 30 hours, so completing every trophy will likely take longer depending on how efficiently you hunt collectibles and hidden encounters.
Standard Progression Achievements
These trophies unlock naturally as you move through the game. No Lifer is the Platinum trophy on PlayStation, awarded after unlocking every other trophy. This is Not an Achievement is the Gold trophy for completing Mortal Shell 2.
Story and location milestones include Mid Summer? for entering the Festival, Home at Last for reaching Marrowkeep, and Haunting Times for watching your first Shell Memory. You’re More Than a Weapon pops after claiming your first Shell, Weapon, and Sidearm. These are all straightforward and should unlock during a normal first run if you follow the critical path and inhabit at least one Shell.
Weapon Collection Trophies
Most Bronze trophies on the list are weapon unlocks. You earn them by finding or unlocking specific arms throughout the world. The list covers melee weapons, sidearms, and a few unusual tools.
Melee unlocks include Deep Cuts for the Axe and Dagger, Big Boi for the Great Martyr’s Blade, Just the Tip for the Black Needle, Like Clockwork for the Clockwork Scythe, Stop, Hammer Time for the Obsidian Hammer, Dual Wielding for the Axatana, Cut You Down to Size for the Veteran’s Battle Axe, and Chop Chop for the Salvaged Trebuchaxe. Sidearm unlocks include Spiked for the Caged Hystrix, Old Painless for the Triarch Repeater, Beautiful Baby for the Cursed Child, Speared for the Ballistazooka, and Old School for the Forgotten Crossbow. Lord of War is the Silver trophy for unlocking every weapon.
Shell Collection Trophies
Shells are equippable bodies with their own skill trees, and collecting them is tracked separately. The individual Shell trophies are Forever Alone? for Tiel, Down with the Thickness for Lazlo, Vengeance is Mine for Eredrim, The Alchemist for Sariel, Arrival for Proxima, My Brether for Smert, and Heartless for Gragu.
Shell Seeker is the Silver trophy for unlocking every Shell. Decked Out asks you to reach the maximum bonding tier for any one Shell at the Shellkeeper. The YouTube playthrough showed shells such as Smert, Lazlo, Eredrim, Gragu, and Janessa, though Janessa’s trophy unlock condition was not explicitly listed in the collected material.
Collectible and Completion Trophies
Several Silver trophies reward full completion of optional systems. Bring My Ova Back to Me requires collecting all Ova. Heavy Metal unlocks after playing every Lute Track in the game. Stoned is for finding all Tarstones.
So Fresh, So Clean is earned by cleansing all Beacons. Sat Nav pops once you find all Map Fragments. Seeking the Past is for watching every Shell Memory. Guns, Lots of Guns unlocks all Sidearms. Over 9000 is earned by maxing out a Weapon at the Tarforge. These are the longest grinds outside of the boss-related list, so keep an eye on your inventory and bond upgrades as you play rather than leaving them all for the post-game.
Hidden Boss Trophies
There are 15 hidden trophies in total, and most of them come from defeating bosses. Each is a Bronze trophy with a flavor name tied to the encounter.

The hidden boss trophies are Ultimate Karen for defeating Magdalena, the Lady of the Woods; Meat’s Back on the Menu, Boys! for defeating The Lost Child; Headcase for defeating The Nameless Captive; Nightmare Fuel for defeating Sir Isaac, the Scholar-Prince; Something in the Deep… for defeating Hexapod; Praise Him! for defeating The Monolith; It burnssssssssss for defeating Droeg, the Conquerer; Giga Chad for defeating Malborn Offspring; Lost Your Head for defeating Orrem, the Reclaimed; and It’s Over Now? for defeating Zmey, the Unbidden. Sester is also hidden and unlocks by recruiting Sester Genessa.
Hidden Challenge Trophies
A few hidden trophies ask for specific actions rather than simple boss kills. Peter’s Perfect Parry requires you to Perfect Guard every one of The Nameless Captive’s headspins using the Untarnished Seal. Feed Me is earned by causing Egon to pass away. No, You Still Can’t Win asks you to take the Tar Golem down to his minimum health. Ascension is for discovering the secret of the Mango.
The sources flag Peter’s Perfect Parry and Ascension as the trickiest trophies on the list, so save them for late in your Platinum run once your build and skill are settled.
The Bag Holder Trophy
Bag Holder is a Bronze trophy with the description: “You’ve mastered nothing and this is your reward. Pretty pointless, eh?” The YouTube footage shows a joke ending where the player brings “nothing” to a Bag Head NPC, becomes the Bag Head leader, and the credits roll.
It is highly likely that this trophy is tied to that same joke ending or a similar interaction with the Bag Head faction, but the exact trigger steps were not detailed in the collected material.
Trophy Difficulty and Time Estimate
A full playthrough of Mortal Shell 2 takes roughly 30 hours, so a Platinum run will likely run longer unless you are following a guide from the start. The list is front-loaded with Bronze progression trophies and back-loaded with Silver completion trophies, which means the second half of the hunt is mostly cleanup.
The hardest part of the list is not the boss kills themselves but the precision trophies. Peter’s Perfect Parry has a strict mechanical requirement against a specific boss attack pattern, and Ascension involves finding the secret of the Mango, the exact steps for which were not fully documented in the collected material.

Platinum Roadmap
For the Platinum, plan to complete the game once while picking up every Shell, weapon, sidearm, Lute Track, Map Fragment, Ova, and Tarstone you can find. Cleansing every Beacon along the way will also save you from running the same zones twice later.
After the credits, check your trophy list against the hidden boss and challenge trophies. Most progression trophies will unlock automatically if you explore thoroughly, but the Silver collection trophies and the two tricky hidden trophies should be your final targets. Save Peter’s Perfect Parry and Ascension for after you are comfortable with parry timing and the late-game map.
If you are playing on Steam or Xbox, remember that the Platinum is not currently available on those platforms, so 100% completion is tracked against the 52 non-Platinum achievements until the promised equivalent arrives.
